Short Stories

Why short stories?

This website has gone through - and is going through - numerous creative adaptions and design developments. What I thought I wanted this to be one year ago is not necessarily how I see its purpose today.

Add to this mix that I've been somewhat negligent with regular updates, the addition of new segments and sections to the site can make it seem arbitrary and random.

To be fair - I'm not sure where and how I'll take this site.

That said, I recently decided that - in addition to the comedic and prose components to this site - it would be helpful to share my thoughts and ideas through a new medium. A medium that could convey my ideas in a less formal and more relaxed format than argumentative essays, but also more serious and less forgettable than comedic pieces or stand-up.

I think short stories are my best option to do so.

My hope with short stories is that I can wrap an idea in a fictional, creative setting and plot that is neither too long for my audience to lose their attention nor realistic enough where people take things personally and lose sight of my thoughts due to grievances with particular real-life details.

Similarly to the Bro Bible, and I'm going to list all my short stories (in order of when I wrote them) down below.

I hope you, my readers, find some interest, if not enjoyment, in reading them. As always, feel free to leave me feedback if you feel a calling to do so.

Wishing you all the best,

D.S.
